Emerging Leaders program will offer an intensive focus on professional
development, job specific skill mastery and exposure to multiple aspects of the
organization including senior leadership.
the program cohorts will participate in live
training workshops, webinars, on-the-job project assignments, and rotations
into other roles within the company.
The Emerging Leaders Program will look to hire numerous Merchandising candidates
in our Charlotte, NC Headquarters. These roles will focus on strategic
priorities within Belk Private
Brands, Buying, Planning.
- Support and drive the
profitability of your buying office/department
- Work in a fast paced,
competitive, dynamic and entrepreneurial environment
- Analyze fashion and
business trends while comparing location sales to highlight inventory successes
- Shop retail market to
identify assortment, incoming trends and pricing opportunities based on
- Prepare materials for
merchant line review. Assist in recapping, finalizing, and communicating
style placement to cross functional development teams, agents and vendors
- Providing business
support through report generation and analysis of business results
- Participate in
assortment planning, seasonal financial planning and store planning
- Must have
graduated within 12 months of June 2017 or be graduating by June 2017
- Able to
start fulltime in June 2017
- Proven strong academic performer (GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred)2 years of related experience or 1 prior internship in field strongly preferred
organizational, time management and leadership skills are required
- The ability
to communicate effectively with clients, customers and all levels of the
